   ONDO STATE BEGINS           ENTERTAINMENT TAX                 ADMINISTRATION

Ondo State begins charging Entertainment Tax across all Entertainment providing facilities across the state beginning from October 1st, 2025. 

The Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS) through its consultant, KODSERVE INNOVATIONS LTD will administer a 5% charge on all operational invoices in the following businesses:

*    Audio and Music Production and Streaming
*    Video and Still Image Production and Projection
*    Disc Jockeys and Live Sound Rentals
*    Radio Advertisements
*    Live Sporting Events

This move is to make entertainment industry in Ondo State contribute to the growth and development of the state while they enjoy the attention of the government in return.


In the meeting held with the head of trade groups in Ondo State Entertainment Industry on the 18th of September at the SGIC Hall in Akure, the Director of KODSERVE INNOVATIONS LTD, Mr. Kolapo Gbenga charged on the workability of the Entertainment Tax Administration and urge the stakeholders to begin charging the 5% accordingly from their customers and they remit accordingly.   

While asked on how the government will reward their compliance to this development, the stakeholders were made to know that adequate attention will be given to the sector by making the stakeholders have a more-enabling working environment that will make their business enviable. In his words, Mr. Kolapo said "I am also a stakeholder in this industry and I know our works had not been receiving the required attention, but our compliance to Entertainment Tax will earn us better day"

AUDIO STUDIO OWNERS ASSOCIATION, ONDO (ASTOAN MEETS ONDO STATE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE (ODIRS) FOR OPERATIONAL SYNERGY

  The trustees of ASTOAN led by Ambassador Tunde Akins today 8th June meets with the Executive chairman of ONDO State Internal Revenue Service to discuss on matters relating to having mutual understanding and synergy as the Association is about to be officially inaugurated in Ondo state.
