AUDIO STUDIO OWNERS ASSOCIATION, ONDO (ASTOAN MEETS ONDO STATE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE (ODIRS) FOR OPERATIONAL SYNERGY

 

The trustees of ASTOAN led by Ambassador Tunde Akins today 8th June meets with the Executive chairman of ONDO State Internal Revenue Service to discuss on matters relating to having mutual understanding and synergy as the Association is about to be officially inaugurated in Ondo state.

ODIRS chairman, Mr. Tolu Adegbie who is duly represented by the duo of Mr. Enikuomehin of the PIT directorate and the SSA to the Ondo State governor on Revenue explain welcome ASTOAN to the round table meeting. 

Moving forward, Comrade Kolapo told the meeting the reason for the meeting bothering on how ASTOAN will enjoy all the provisions of the State government as their statutory obligations in prompt remittance of tax is done. 

Mr. Enikuomehin replied to ASTOAN that the call for the meeting shows that ASTOAN is willing to cooperate with the State government in their lawful activities to protect the interest of their profession. He stressed that the ODIRS is willing to assist any incorporated association who take the remittance of tax seriously. He assures ASTOAN that there is a department saddled with the responsibility of Administering associations, agencies and related bodies.

Asking him further the areas where ASTOAN will play, Mr. Enikuomehin stated that the Personal Income Tax (PIT) of members is important. He demands that the board will need the full list of members and their addresses so as to identify them with the association.

Ambassador Tunde Akins thanked the ODIRS officials and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor for receiving us and the openness. Amb. Tunde Akins made it known to them that we all know our statutory responsibility, but we want the government to help us improve this our profession so that we can be proud of our job. He sighted that some world producers today emerges from Ondo state. He pleaded that ASTOAN need a lift from the government in return for carrying on our statutory responsibility. 

Responding, Mr. Enikuomehin calls the relationship between ODIRS and ASTOAN a "PARTNERSHIP", the the chairman really loves the gesture. Also, the SSA to the governor appreciate ASTOAN for making this move, promising that he will convey our wishes to the governor for a due recognition.

Com. Sola Asaolu (Redmark) also thank the Chairman and the SSA for the promise.

Com. Kolapo Gbenga Excellence wrapped up by assuring the ODIRS and the governor (represented) that, ASTOAN will be religious to the demands of the government and fashion out how the partnership will work out.

Now as partners, Com. Excellence use the opportunity to inform the team about the official inauguration of ASTOAN and will like the ODIRS to be duly represented.

Remember, ASTOAN was incorporated by Corporate Affairs Commission on March 7th, 2023. To inaugurate the first executives in the month of July, 2023.
